Paneer Tikka Masala Ingredients:

For Paneer Tikka:

250g paneer, cut into cubes
1 cup thick yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 tablespoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Skewers for grilling

For Gravy:

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 large tomatoes, pureed
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon garam masala
Salt to taste
1 cup water
2 tablespoons fresh cream
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Paneer Tikka:
  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers.
  4. Grill the paneer until it gets a nice char and is cooked through, turning occasionally. If using an oven, bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes.
Gravy:
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook the masala until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
  4. Add water and bring the gravy to a boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  5. Add fresh cream and stir well. Adjust salt and spices according to your taste.
  6. Add the grilled paneer tikka to the gravy. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve Paneer Tikka Masala hot with naan, roti, or rice. Enjoy your delicious homemade Paneer Tikka Masala!
